Furniture Friday

Friday, May 22, 2015

If you ask me the best pieces of furniture are the kinds that can serve multi functions. I like a lot of bang for my buck pieces that only serve one purpose aren't always my cup of tea. This is one of the many reasons I adore this hutch done by Pastiche Interiors.

The entire time I was photographing this piece I found myself think about all the different functions it could serve. While it obviously would work in a dining room as a side board or hutch it would also work well in a kitchen. Thinking out side of the box it could make an interesting entertainment center. The silverware drawer would be great for holding remotes. It would also make an amazing entry way table. Add a few baskets to the interior to hold shoes and back packs.

How would you use this piece in your home?

Merchandise Monday: Pottery Pop Up Shop

Monday, May 11, 2015

If you haven't been down to the shop in the past few weeks you will want to be sure to get down town before the month is over.

Pastiche is hosting it's first ever pop up shop! Located at the front of the store, this limited time event features the work of Lynchburg local Beatriz Gutierrez.

Each hand crafted piece is created with Gutierrez's unique style. From mugs and bowls to serving platters and pitchers you are sure to find something lovely and functional to fit your life.

These lovely pieces aren't her for long though. So be sure to pop by soon. Because, when may is gone so is the pop up shop.

Recipe Swap by Pastiche Interiors.

Monday, April 20, 2015

Spring has hit Central Virginia and as surely as April showers bring May flowers, spring time in the south brings with it a plethora of opportunities for entertaining. From graduations, to Mother's Day, to summer wedding bridal showers, there is no shortage of reasons to celebrate the women in your life.

Check out this vintage inspired recipe swap staged by Haley Pavao of Pastiche Interiors for inspiration for all your spring parties.

A mix of dinner plate and glass patterns are pulled together with a floral theme and matching dessert plates.

A set of stamps and recipe cards make favors your guests are sure to use over and over.

Don't be afraid to use what you have on hand. Here vintage books were used instead of placemats.

Glass and ironstone vases add interest to a pattern tray with out competing with the colors.

A succulent in a concrete planter brings a touch of life to the table.

Fabric flag arranged in tall vases are a unique replacement for flowers.

My Pastiche Story: Haley

Tuesday, February 3, 2015

It's hard to describe everything that Pastiche at Main has meant to me & my family.
This past year of business has been life changing! My faith in God has grown, my creativity has evolved, my circle of friends have strengthened me & my family has increased by one new little member.

Pastiche at Main warms my heart when I think of all the families it impacts & how it represents Lynchburg so perfectly.
I hope through this Keep Pastiche Alive campaign & the silent auction event - people will realize all that this creative community has to offer & how valuable Pastiche at Main is to our downtown heartbeat.

My hope is that we will be embraced so greatly by locals that we can stay open for many years to come! We have lots of room to grow & I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Thank you for all your support. I am excited to see all that 2015 has in store & grateful I've been able to pursue my dreams!
