Vintage Lynchburg

If you have have been on social media at all the past few weeks and you live in the Central Virginia area, there is a good chance your news feed has been full of #vlsp2014! Maybe you know all about Vintage Lynchburg, or maybe this is your first time hearing about it, either way here is some information that may interest you.

Vintage Lynchburg  is a biaunual event that takes place in Lynchburg, Virginia. Started by Leah Wiebe the woman behind Regeneration, these Spring and Holiday markets are juried events featuring vintage, antique, repuprosed and hand made goods from local vendors. This year Pastiche at Main is both co-host and vendor at this event. Not only will a number of the creatives from the Pastiche family have their own booths but, Pastiche will have a booth and will be showcasing Miss Muster Seed Milk Paint on a variety of items.

Not only does Vintage Lynchburg encourage people to shop local (think etsy in your back yard) it also strives to give back to the community. The 2014 Spring Market will be benefiting The Motherhood Collective, a non profit group that seeks to serve mothers in the Lynchburg area by providing support and resources on pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood. A portion of the admission proceeds will be benefiting this group and many vendors will also be contribution a portion of their sales to the group.

I (Joy) am particularly excited about this years Spring Market. After attending many times in the past this will be my first time participating at a vendor. I also had a chance to participate in some of the prep as a member of The Motherhood Collective volunteer staff. Being able to be part of something that brings together so many things I am passionate about (including Pastiche!) has been a dream! Hope to see you there!

Girls Night Out!

 

If you have been on the Pastiche at Main Facebook page at all lately you have probably seen the flyer for this weekend's Girl's Night Out event at Pastiche at Main and Cao Artisan Chocolates. However, you may still have a few questions. So, today on the blog I have a quick question/answer session with Haley about this weekend.

Who would enjoy this event?
This is an event for  women of all ages that enjoy hanging out with girlfriends or family browsing & shopping local companies & handmade goods. Enjoying a dessert bar & getting a little pampering!

How will the evening work?

You start at either location & wrap up at the other! There is not set time frame, so you can take as much time as you need.

What is covered in the cost?

Discounted gel manicures and organized vendor shopping from Stella & Dot, Thirty-one, and Pampered chef.
Cao Artisan chocolate will have a massage therapist and a dessert bar. 

Will Pastiche be doing anything special for the event?

We are offering the discounted manicures by Taylor'd nails, refreshments, and will be debuting the  "Out of Twig" clothing line that just joined the shop! We never open on Sundays, so this is going to be a special event.

Is there anything else we won't want to miss?

There are 3 door prizes being handed out that evening, so you won't want to miss this fun night of celebrating & relaxing!
